Monster Birthday Cake

I believe I once mentioned that this would also be a baking blog, but have yet to post anything :)  So, here we go.  This is Hayes' cake from his birthday party.  It is my very first big-all-out cake creation:

Everything was edible.  I have been watching too much Cake Boss. 

 Hayes had his very own cake that was non-dairy.  I used all the same recipes, but substituted Earth's Best margarine and soy milk for the butter and dairy milk.  I honestly don't remember what tip I used to line it, but it wasn't fancy ;)  By the time I got to this cake I was exhausted, so there were no modeling chocolate monsters on his. It says "Birthday Monster". 

He didn't seem to mind that he had to have his own cake:
